Ginger-Mint Cooler
Serves 6
This refreshing twist on green tea takes a bit of time to make, but its extraordinarily crisp taste is worth the effort.
Ingredients
- 5 cups water
- 1 cup peeled sliced fresh ginger
- 4 bags green tea
- 1 bunch fresh mint, divided
- 24 packets Equal® sweetener*
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup lemonade
- Ice cubes
*Substitute 1 cup Equal Spoonful for the packets
Preparation
- Bring water and ginger to boiling in a large saucepan on medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Add tea bags and 10 sprigs of the mint. Let mixture steep for 8 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and strain tea. Discard ginger and mint. Stir in Equal until dissolved. Cool tea to room temperature. Stir in orange juice and lemonade.
- Refrigerate until well chilled. Serve over ice, garnishing each glass with some of the remaining mint.
