Beantown’s Spiced Cider

This hot apple cider is spiced with cinnamon, cloves and vanilla. It’s a perfect way to warm up after a Fall walk.
Ingredients
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 20 cinnamon sticks, divided
- 20 whole cloves
- 1 vanilla bean, sliced
- 24 packets Equal® sweetener*
- Substitute 1 cup Equal sweetener for the packets.
Preparation
- Combine cider, 5 cinnamon sticks, cloves and sliced vanilla bean in a large saucepan. Heat to boiling on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Stir in Equal until dissolved. Cool at room temperature 4 hours. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- When ready to serve, strain mixture. Discard cinnamon sticks, cloves and vanilla bean. Heat cider on medium heat until warm.
- Serve in heated mugs, garnishing each with one of the remaining 15 cinnamon sticks.
